FAQ

❓Where is the best place to paddle?
✅ Check out our “Where to paddle” link above and if you’re still unsure, ask one of our SUPer staff.

❓How stable are the boards?
✅Our paddle boards are the best on the market and are well-suited for  beginner to experienced paddlers. Learning to stand, balance and paddle skills can take a little practice but getting wet is all part of the adventure. If you would like some great tips, sign up for our Intro To SUP course where we will get you started on some great basic skills.

❓What does my rental include?
✅Our rental package includes everything you’ll need for a fun day on the water: an inflatable SUP/kayak an adjustable paddle, a leash, a PFD, pump to inflate the board or foam pads and straps to tie the board to the top of your vehicle and SUPerb customer service.

❓What is the easiest way to transport my rental?
✅. Our rental boards are all inflatable.  They are given to you either deflated or fully inflated.  For the deflated boards, we provide a pump to easily inflate when you get to the lake.  The deflated boards pack down to the size of a large duffel bag and fit in most vehicles.  For the fully inflated boards, we provide foam roof racks and straps to allow you to transport the boards.  This saves time on pumping when you get to the lake.  Most vehciles can trasnport a board inflated.  We will show you how!

❓How long does it take to pump up a board?
✅ It should take no more than 5-10 minutes to inflate.

❓Can I take my favourite four-legged friend on the paddle board?
✅Absolutely! We love to to include furry friends on all our adventures.

❓How cold is the water?
✅We are located in the heart of the Rocky Mountains. The lakes are fed by nearby glaciers and melting snow. Throughout the summer the water temperatures do rise slightly by a few degrees but by no means does it feel like the South Pacific Ocean. Come prepared for a refreshing dip!

❓I just took one of your awesome Paddle Boarding sessions and am eager to get my hands on a board. Can I purchase a board through you?
✅Due to this current pandemic situation, the demand for all outdoor activity equipment has surpassed the available supply. That said, if you have a look at our online store SUPSURFSHOP.CA.  We sell our fleet of boards at the end of the season. Another option is to check in with us to place an order for next season’s boards which should arrive in early 2022.

❓How old do you have to be to SUP?
✅ There is no set age.  It is up to the discretion of the parent to determine if a kid is ready to paddle.  Proper supervision should always be used.

❓Where can I get more info?
✅. You can always call or text us at 403-707-7202 or email us at info@bowvalleysup.ca
